Fourteen of the 57 markets in this directory run year-round, a handful more hold winter-specific market days, and everything else is closed. December is still a busy month. January and February are the thinnest weeks of the year. Here is what actually happens to the market calendar as it gets cold. \## December is not really the quiet month Most of the region's seasonal markets run all the way to the third weekend of December before they stop.
