A large share of DFW farmers markets are not weekly. Some run the first and third Saturday, some the second and fourth, some a single Saturday or Friday each month, and a few open only a handful of dates a year. If you assume every market is open every Saturday, you will eventually drive to an empty parking lot. Here is the cadence, market by market.
## First and third Saturday
Azle Farmers Market, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, first and third Saturday, March through November.
Lake Worth Farmers Market, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, first and third Saturday, April through December.
## Second and fourth Saturday
Cedar Hill Farmers Market, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, second and fourth Saturday, May through October.
Kaufman County Farmers' Market, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, second and fourth Saturday, in spring and fall blocks only.
Lucas Farmers Market, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, second and fourth Saturday, late April through late October.
Saginaw Farmers Market at Switchyard, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, second and fourth Saturday, late March through December.
## One Saturday a month
Four Seasons Market at Castle Hills in Lewisville, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, first Saturday.
Sachse Farmers Market, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, second Saturday, year round.
Downtown Forney Market (artisan market), 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, second Saturday, but only in a spring block (April and May) and a fall block (October and November). It skips the summer, so it is not a continuous monthly market.
Duncan Switch Street Market in Duncanville, third Saturday, March through December.
Marketplace on the Square in Garland, third Saturday only, April through September. Our listing flags that this one may be affected by downtown square redevelopment, so verify before visiting.
Stockyards Night Market (artisan market) in Fort Worth, 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, third Saturday evening.
The Urban Market in Garland has the most complicated pattern in the directory: a season that begins in May, first Saturdays in May and June, an evening night market in July and August, and second Saturdays otherwise. Read the market page carefully.
## Monthly on a Friday or Sunday
Celina Friday Night Market, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, first Friday, March through November.
Moonlight Market on W. Houston in Sherman, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, second and fourth Friday, April through November, with a second location listed on the second and last Friday, August through November.
Fort Worth Community Market, second Sunday, monthly and year round. Note that the market's own domain is a placeholder, so its social listings are the better source for a given month.
Funky Foundry Market in Fort Worth, a monthly evening market listed at 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with the day of the week unconfirmed in our sources. Confirm before you go.
## Only a few dates a year
Cottage Farmers Market in Allen runs six dates a year, spread across March, April, May, September, October and November, with nothing in June, July or August. It is not a monthly market and it is not weekly.
Bishop Bazaar in Dallas runs roughly every three to four weeks in a spring block (February through June) and a fall block (September through December), with a full summer hiatus.
## Weekly markets that go monthly part of the year
This is the category that catches people out, because the market is genuinely weekly for most of the season and then quietly is not.
Coppell Farmers Market runs every Saturday April through December, but in the winter months of January through March it is second and fourth Saturdays only. See other Coppell listings for context.
Burleson Farmers Market is weekly March through October and monthly November through February.
Keller Farmers Market runs on three tiers: two winter market dates in January, a weekly main season from mid-March through November, and three Christmas market dates in December.
Denton Community Market is weekly March through December, and adds a limited winter market on January Saturdays and two February dates at a different address. Check the Denton page and the market listing for which address applies.
Saint Michael's Farmers Market in Dallas is weekly from late April through Labor Day, then adds two standalone dates: a Fall Family Day on the last Saturday of October and a Holiday Market on the second Saturday of December at a different park.
Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market is weekly May through November, plus a December pop-up.
## The habit that saves the drive
Check the market page the morning you go, not the week before. Weather cancellations, venue construction and season end dates all move, and the market's own site or social feed is the first place that changes.
Every market's day, hours and cadence are listed in the directory.
