Fourteen of the 57 markets in this directory describe themselves as year-round. The other 43 are seasonal in some way, whether that means a spring to fall run, a two month summer season, or a handful of scattered dates. Seasonal is the norm in Dallas-Fort Worth, not the exception, so if you are planning around a market you have not visited, check its season before you check its hours.

Two caveats on that list, because the label does more work than it should. Sachse is year-round but runs only on the second Saturday of the month, so it is twelve market days a year, not fifty-two. And Wylie Urban Farm & Market is open seven days a week because it is a farm store with market hours, which is a different experience from a pop-up market with rotating vendors.
## Where the year-round label is shaky
Two entries need a note rather than a clean yes.
Frisco Rotary Farmers Market is listed as year-round on its own site, but another source gives its season as April through December. We have not resolved the conflict, so treat winter attendance as unconfirmed and check before you go.
Fort Worth Community Market runs monthly year-round, but its own domain is a placeholder rather than a working site, and we have no published opening and closing times for it. Look for a current event listing rather than relying on a secondhand time.
## Markets that run in every month without calling themselves year-round
Four more markets operate in all twelve months, but on a schedule that changes so much through the year that year-round would oversell it.
Coppell Farmers Market runs from early January to late December, but January through March is second and fourth Saturdays only. It is weekly every Saturday from April through December.
Keller Farmers Market has a three part year: a short winter market with a couple of January dates, a main season running weekly on Saturdays from mid March through November, and three Christmas markets in December.
Denton Community Market runs weekly from early March through late December, then holds a limited winter market on all January Saturdays and two Saturdays in February, at a different address on East McKinney Street. If you go in winter, confirm the location, not just the date.
Burleson Farmers Market is weekly from March through October and monthly from November through February.
## What seasonal actually looks like here
The 43 seasonal markets are not one shape. A common one is a spring to fall run, roughly March or April through October or November, which covers markets like Downtown Arlington, Azle, Grand Prairie, Midlothian, Mesquite and Waxahachie. A shorter summer season covers Rockwall, May through September, and Farmers Market at Firewheel in Garland, mid May through the end of August.
Then there are the split-season markets, which surprise people. Downtown Forney Market (artisan market) runs a spring block and a fall block with no summer dates at all. Bishop Bazaar in Dallas runs roughly every three or four weeks in spring and fall with a full summer hiatus. Cottage Farmers Market in Allen holds six dates in a year and skips June through August entirely. Tietze Park Farmers Market is the reverse of most, a fall market from late September into late December.
